About
Rosalie Howell (b. Michigan, 1999) is an artist and art educator in North Carolina. Drawing from her small-town upbringing, Howell is inspired by the joy of everyday experiences. She explores these experiences through pen and watercolor illustrations, lovingly influenced by medieval illuminated manuscripts and the picture books she read as a child. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2021 with a BFA in Art Education and has been teaching ever since. She received her MA in Studio Practice for Art Educators at Teachers College of Columbia in 2025. Howell teaches high school art in Eden, North Carolina.
